Tinubu Visits Jos for Condolence After Recent Attack

On Thursday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Jos, Plateau State, at 4:45 PM for a condolence visit after a recent attack in Angwan Rukuba that resulted in multiple fatalities. His aircraft landed at Yakubu Gowon Airport, where he was received by top government officials and political leaders from across Plateau State.

This visit was initially part of a scheduled trip to Ogun State, which was postponed to Saturday to honor the condolence visit. A statement from Special Adviser to the President, Bayo Onanuga, indicated that Tinubu's decision to visit Plateau State followed a meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who briefed him on the security situation and measures taken to address the crisis.

During his visit, Tinubu is expected to meet with community leaders and political stakeholders to discuss the recurring violence that threatens peace and stability in Plateau State.
