Tinubu Engages Plateau Governor After Jos Attack

President Bola Tinubu has summoned Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang for high-level discussions in Abuja following a recent attack in Angwan Rukuba, Jos North. Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information, conveyed condolences on behalf of the President to the victims' families and emphasized the government's commitment to swift action.

The Nigerian Armed Forces have been mobilized to the area to conduct clearance operations and ensure peace. A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in Jos North to prevent further escalation.

The federal government is coordinating with state authorities to restore calm and facilitate investigations. Idris assured that the attacks do not signify a breakdown of national security but are criminal acts in conflict-prone areas.
