Foursquare Gospel Church Leader Urges Faith Amid Hardship

Rev Sam Aboyeji, the General Overseer of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, addressed the congregation at the first District Convocation and District Anniversary of the Foursquare Gospel Church, Pleasure District, in Lagos. He encouraged Nigerians to keep their faith amid economic hardships, particularly due to high petrol prices.

Aboyeji, represented by Ikeja Axis Coordinator Rev Ayomide Abraham, urged citizens to express gratitude for positive developments like improved infrastructure and access to student loans while praying for economic recovery and security. He inaugurated the elevation of Pleasure Missionary District to a full-fledged district, appointing Rev Charles Fashola as its District Overseer, noting the district's membership had grown to about 1,500, surpassing the 1,000-member benchmark.

He stressed the importance of preparing younger generations for the church's future, highlighting the introduction of Grand Assembly churches to attract youth and ensure sustained growth and expansion.
