Ibiyomie Claims Role in Wike's Governorship Victories

Pastor David Ibiyomie, the founder of Salvation Ministries, revealed in a sermon at the church's headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, how he allegedly assisted Nyesom Wike in becoming governor twice. Ibiyomie recounted that Wike approached him during a difficult period after losing an election and facing legal challenges, including a high court and appeal court judgment against him.

He emphasized that Wike should not fear, as he believed that God would intervene. Ibiyomie mentioned that he had faith in Wike's ability to overcome the opposition from both the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He claimed that through prayer and divine intervention, Wike was able to turn his electoral fortunes around, ultimately winning re-election despite the odds against him. The pastor's remarks were made public in a video clip that circulated widely following Wike's announcement of the judgment on a Tuesday.
