Saraki Denies Tinubu's Role in His Legal Challenges

Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, addressed claims regarding Bola Tinubu's involvement in the political and legal challenges he faced during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari. In an appearance on Channel Television, Saraki stated that Tinubu did not have a significant influence within Buhari's government, countering the narrative that Tinubu played a role in the legal troubles Saraki encountered.

He clarified that the decisions leading to his prosecution by the Code of Conduct Tribunal, particularly concerning the investigation linked to the Offa robbery incident, were not influenced by Tinubu. Saraki emphasized that his actions were taken in the best interest of the country, despite the political persecution that followed.

He reiterated that Tinubu was not among those who initiated the actions that resulted in the tribunal's trial against him during that period.
