NDC and Obidients Reject Ganduje's Criticism of Ticket

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement have dismissed former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje’s assertion that the presidential ticket of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso cannot win the 2027 election. Ganduje labeled the NDC ticket as "dead on arrival," questioning the leadership records and political legacies of both candidates, as well as their popularity in Anambra and Kano states.

In response, NDC Deputy National Publicity Secretary Abdulmumin Abdulsalam characterized Ganduje's remarks as mere "blabbing," claiming that Ganduje has lost political relevance in Kano. Abdulsalam expressed confidence that the NDC is well-positioned to win various elections in the state, including all state Assembly seats, senatorial, House of Representatives, and governorship elections.

He noted Obi's performance in the 2023 presidential election as evidence of his nationwide appeal, particularly in northern Nigeria. Dr Yunusa Tanko, National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement Worldwide, also defended Obi’s record as Anambra governor, highlighting his financial management and Kwankwaso’s achievements in Kano.
