NDC, Obidients Reject Ganduje's Claims on Obi-Kwankwaso Ticket

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Obidient Movement have responded to Abdullahi Ganduje, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who criticized the presidential ticket of Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso as lacking the political legacy to win the 2027 election. Ganduje described the ticket as “dead on arrival,” questioning the leadership credentials of both Obi and Kwankwaso and their ability to garner support in Kano State.

In a phone interview, Abdulmumin Abdulsalam, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the NDC, dismissed Ganduje's remarks as inconsequential, asserting that he has lost political relevance in Kano. Abdulsalam expressed confidence in the NDC's potential to win various elective positions in Kano, attributing this to Kwankwaso's political influence.

He emphasized that Obi's performance in the 2023 presidential election showcased his national appeal and predicted an increase in votes for the 2027 election.
