Investigation Ordered After Fire at Federal Secretariat

On the previous day, a fire broke out in the Federal Secretariat Complex, specifically in the section housing the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation. Didi Esther Walson Jack, the Head of Service, has mandated a comprehensive investigation to determine the immediate cause of the incident.

The fire affected the fourth floor of the building, which houses the Head of Civil Service of the Federation and the National Board for Technology Incubation. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported, although some workers had to evacuate the building due to the smoke.

The Federal Fire Service and other emergency response agencies quickly mobilized to the scene. Walson Jack highlighted the need for strict adherence to safety measures and emphasized the importance of electrical safety in public offices.

A thorough assessment of the structural integrity of the building is currently underway to ascertain the extent of the damage.
