APC Unity Urged After Tinubu's Bauchi Primary Victory

On Saturday, following the announcement of results from the APC presidential primary in Bauchi State, Ali Pate, the Minister of Health and APC coordinator, called for unity within the party. Bola Tinubu emerged victorious with 156,541 votes, defeating his only challenger, Stanlei Osifo, who received 2,650 votes.

The primary was conducted successfully across 20 local government areas, with a total of 159,191 votes cast from 178,414 registered APC members. Pate urged party members to reconcile grievances and remain committed to the APC, emphasizing that political participation is crucial for strengthening the party.

He warned against actions driven by anger and disappointment, stressing that power should serve society rather than personal interests. Pate acknowledged the contributions of security agencies and party stakeholders in ensuring a peaceful electoral process and expressed confidence in the APC's prospects in future elections.
