Hearn Threatens to Cancel Joshua vs Fury Fight Over Venue

Eddie Hearn, the promoter for Anthony Joshua, has threatened to call off the anticipated fight between Joshua and Tyson Fury if organizers proceed to announce the bout for New York without first agreeing to move it from the United Kingdom. No official announcement has been made regarding the fight, although reports suggest both fighters have signed contracts.

Hearn stated on The Punch Podcast that he and Joshua are committed to staging the fight in the UK, contrary to the desires of financial backers, including Netflix, who are pushing for the event to take place in the US. Hearn expressed that if an announcement is made without an agreement to change the venue, it would lead to the cancellation of the fight.

He emphasized their strategy to make the financial implications of holding the fight in America unattractive, aiming to keep the event in England.
