Timi Frank Urges Tinubu to Heed Catholic Bishops' Advice

Timi Frank, a former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), issued a statement in Abuja commending the Catholic Bishops for their courage in confronting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the harsh realities facing Nigeria. He urged Tinubu to heed their advice, suggesting that doing so would prevent further embarrassment for the President.

Frank criticized some religious leaders, particularly Pentecostal leaders, for failing to speak truthfully to the government after visiting the Presidential Villa, alleging they return with altered narratives after receiving envelopes. He emphasized that religious leaders should not limit their roles to prayer but should also address the pressing issues facing the nation.

Frank accused the Tinubu administration of exacerbating corruption, insecurity, poverty, and unemployment, and claimed it was undermining democratic institutions. He expressed concern over the potential manipulation of the 2027 elections, asserting that Tinubu would not win a fair election and urged respect for democratic processes.
