Governor Namadi Urges Appointees to Prioritize Citizens

Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi issued a stern warning to his appointees, urging them to focus on the welfare of the people or face resignation. This statement was made during a stakeholders meeting held on Sunday at the banquet hall of the government house in Dutsinma.

Namadi emphasized that his administration would not tolerate indifference to the needs of citizens, particularly at the grassroots level. He highlighted the importance of public officials being responsive to the concerns of ordinary citizens, stating that leadership should not merely be about holding titles but making a real impact on people's lives.

The governor expressed dissatisfaction with certain appointees, who were accused by the public of neglecting their responsibilities and failing to support those in need. He insisted that public office comes with the expectation of service and sacrifice, warning that any official who does not meet these expectations would face consequences.
