Seven Aides Resign from Gov. Namadi's Administration

In a significant political development, seven aides from Gov. Namadi's administration in Jigawa State have submitted their resignation letters to pursue elective positions in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

This move aligns with the provisions of the Electoral Act, which mandates public office holders seeking electoral positions to step down within a stipulated timeframe. Among those who resigned is Aliyu Hussaini Usman, a special adviser on intergovernmental affairs, who aims to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives for the Hadejia/Auyo/Kafin Hausa Federal Constituency.

Other notable resignations include Sale Ahm Birniwa, special adviser on youth mobilization; Hassan Aliyu Musa, special adviser on human resources; Malam Mansur Shehu, special assistant on micro, small, and medium enterprises; and Emir Hamza Abdullahi, special adviser on Tsangaya II. Additionally, Dr.

Yusuf Tanko Sununu, the Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs, has also resigned to run for a Senate seat in Kebbi State.
