Hervé Renard Returns as Côte d’Ivoire Head Coach

Côte d’Ivoire has appointed Hervé Renard as their new head coach, marking his return to the position 11 years after he led the Elephants to victory in the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015. The 57-year-old Frenchman succeeds Emerse Faé, who ended his contract on July 31 despite having successfully guided the team to the knockout stages of the World Cup for the first time in their history.

Renard has been without a coaching role since leaving Tunisia after their group stage campaign. The Côte d’Ivoire Football Federation stated that this appointment reflects their commitment to consolidating the achievements of the senior national team while pursuing further ambitions in African and international football.
