PDP Faction Denies Wike's Defection to APC, Calls Him Asset

A faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has refuted claims that Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is set to defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Jungudo Moham, a representative of the faction, made a clarifying statement on Wednesday, emphasizing that Wike is considered a valuable asset to the PDP.

This clarification comes after Nentaw Yilwatda, the national chairman of the APC, publicly praised Wike's leadership qualities, which reportedly sparked jealousy among some PDP members. The PDP faction confirmed that they have no intention of allowing Wike to leave the party permanently, despite any political pressure or offers from the APC.

Wike is currently a card-carrying member of the PDP and continues to work as a minister in the APC-led federal government.
