PDP Declares Wike a 'Loan' to APC, Affirms Loyalty

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has responded to comments made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Professor Nentaw Yilwatda, regarding Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The PDP clarified that Wike is considered a "loan" to the APC and remains a committed member of the PDP.

The party stressed that there are no intentions to permanently transfer Wike to the APC, despite any overtures made. PDP spokesperson Jungudo Haruna emphasized that Wike is a valuable political asset and that the party does not plan to negotiate any hidden clauses for a permanent move.

The PDP acknowledged Wike's significant contributions to the party and the nation, highlighting his leadership qualities and achievements in infrastructure development during his tenure. The party called on Nigerians to support PDP leadership in the upcoming 2027 elections, asserting that Wike's role exemplifies the party's commitment to delivering tangible results.
