Hisbah Arrests Man for Attempted Girl Trafficking in Jigawa

The Hisbah Board, led by Deputy Command General Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen, announced the arrest of a man in Kazaur, Jigawa State, on Thursday for allegedly attempting to traffic two girls to Arab countries.

The girls involved are Fatima Safiyanu, aged 23, from Daura, Katsina State, and Hasiya Haruna, aged 11, from Kazaur, Jigawa State. The arrest was made at a car park in the city, and investigations are currently ongoing to unravel the details of the trip arrangements.

The Hisbah Board is working to ensure that appropriate legal action is taken against the suspect. Additionally, the board has handed over the individuals to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for further action.

Dr. Aminuddeen also warned women, parents, and the general public to verify the authenticity of job offers before accepting any recruitment for domestic work abroad.
