Hisbah Arrests 19 in Kano for Alleged Immorality

On Tuesday, the Hisbah Board in Kano announced the arrest of 19 individuals for alleged immorality. Dr Mujahid Aminuddeen, the Deputy Commander General of the Board, revealed that some of those apprehended were not residents of Kano but had traveled from other states.

The statement raised concerns regarding the allocation of hotel rooms to underage youths. Dr Aminuddeen indicated that investigations are currently underway to ascertain the culpability of the suspects.

Following the investigations, appropriate legal actions will be taken against those found guilty, who will be charged in court. Additionally, first-time offenders will be counseled, and their parents will be invited to take custody of them, emphasizing a rehabilitative approach alongside legal measures.
