Lagos Emergency Team Aids Injured Teen After Hit-and-Run

On October 8, a teenage boy was injured in a hit-and-run incident while crossing the Onipanu Bus Rapid Transit corridor inward to Fadeyi, Lagos State, at approximately 4:30 pm. Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), reported that the victim sustained head and leg injuries.
LASEMA's Cobra Team arrived at the scene just two minutes later, at 4:32 pm, and provided urgent medical assistance before transporting the boy to the Trauma Centre for further treatment. Oke-Osanyintolu urged motorists to adhere to traffic regulations and warned pedestrians to use designated crossing points.
Earlier that day, the Cobra Team also responded to a separate crash involving a truck and a Toyota Camry, which occurred at 5:10 am, with no fatalities reported. The team collaborated with police and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority to manage the situation and clear the road.
