Multiple Vehicle Crash on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Kills Three

A multiple road crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State resulted in three fatalities and ten injuries. The incident occurred around 5:10 PM on Friday at the Long Bridge, opposite Mikano, involving a white Mazda bus (registration number AGL891XX), a white Toyota bus (registration number KJA247YM), and a white Toyota Corolla (registration number BDG867HG).
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, reported that 16 individuals were involved, comprising 12 males and four females. Preliminary assessments indicated speed violation and loss of control as probable causes, with further investigations ongoing.
The FRSC was notified at 5:34 PM, and its rescue team arrived six minutes later, evacuating the injured to AZ Hospital, Magboro, and the Accident and Emergency Centre, Ojota. The deceased were taken to Ifo Morgue and Idera Morgue, Sagamu.
Ogun State Sector Commander Oludare Ogunjobi expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and urged motorists to drive cautiously and within safe speed limits.
