Security Forces Allegedly Raid Kano Communities, Causing Destruction

On March 27, 2026, security forces allegedly conducted a violent raid in three rural communities within the Wudil Local Government Area of Kano State, leading to significant destruction of homes and livelihoods. Residents described the aftermath as tragic and deeply unsettling, with reports of houses set ablaze, shops looted, and livestock killed.

The crisis reportedly began late on Thursday night when unidentified gunmen invaded the villages, injuring at least one person. Local youth apprehended a suspect, who was beaten to death, while others fled.
