House of Representatives Vows to Deliver Credible Electoral Reform Bill Amidst Concerns Over Delays

Rotimi, the House of Representatives spokesman, reassured Nigerians during the inauguration of constituency projects in Ekiti State that the House remains committed to delivering a robust electoral reform bill. The bill aims to strengthen the nation's democracy.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has urged the Senate to expedite the passage of the electoral reform bill to prevent further delays that could impact the 2027 general elections. The ADC accused the APC-led Senate of deliberating slowly on the bill.

Rotimi emphasized the importance of a free and fair electoral process and highlighted the legislative contributions towards electoral reforms. The final version of the reform bill is expected to address past electoral deficiencies and reflect public expectations.
