Nigerian House Probes Security Intervention Funds for Transparency

The Nigerian House of Representatives has commenced an investigation into the allocation and utilization of security intervention funds disbursed by the federal government from 2020 onwards. The probe, led by Hon. Zakaria Nyampa, aims to assess the impact of the funds on security outcomes across Nigeria.

Nyampa emphasized the need for transparency and accountability in managing resources meant for protecting Nigerian lives and properties. The committee pledged collaboration with relevant ministries, anti-corruption agencies, and civil society organizations to ensure a credible and open investigation.
