House of Representatives Acknowledges Military Successes

The House of Representatives, represented by Hon. Akintunde Rotimi, addressed the ongoing security challenges in Nigeria, stating that despite these issues, military agencies have recorded operational successes across various theaters.

The statement was a response to concerns raised by the Minority Caucus regarding the security situation in parts of the country. Rotimi emphasized that security remains an urgent national concern and highlighted the necessity for sustained vigilance and coordinated actions among government arms.

He noted that Nigeria's security challenges did not emerge overnight and cannot be resolved through isolated interventions. The House reiterated its commitment to work with the executive to strengthen national security frameworks through appropriate legislative oversight.

Ongoing operations have reportedly led to the degradation of criminal networks, rescue of abducted individuals, and stabilization of vulnerable communities, indicating steady progress in addressing security issues.
