House of Reps Criticizes Minority Caucus on Security Issues

On Friday, the House of Representatives, led by Chairman of the Media and Public Affairs Committee, Akin Rotimi, responded to criticisms from the minority caucus regarding the increasing insecurity in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu's administration. During a press conference, the minority caucus raised concerns about the deteriorating security situation, judicial controversies, economic difficulties, and political issues.

Rotimi emphasized that insecurity did not emerge overnight and cannot be resolved through isolated interventions. He reiterated the commitment of the House to collaborate with executive arms and security agencies to enhance the national security framework.

The House acknowledged ongoing operations by security agencies and noted the need for sustained vigilance and coordinated action. Rotimi urged members of the minority caucus to engage constructively in legislative processes, reminding them of their integral role in governance and the collective responsibility to address security challenges facing the nation.
