Thirteen Killed in Kaduna Wedding Attack by Bandits

On Sunday night, around 11:47 PM, an attack occurred at a wedding venue in Kagarko, Kaduna, resulting in the deaths of 13 guests. Shehu Bala confirmed the incident via telephone, explaining that armed bandits, equipped with AK-47 rifles, stormed the hall and opened fire.

Several other attendees sustained varying degrees of gunshot injuries and were rushed to the general hospital in Kagarko, with two victims referred for further treatment in Kaduna. Bala noted the difficulty in ascertaining the number of abducted individuals due to the sporadic shooting.

Community leaders, speaking anonymously for security reasons, confirmed the identities of the deceased, including Bako Danjuma, William Luka, and others. The bandits operated for nearly an hour without resistance, looting shops and causing residents to flee into the bush.

The Kaduna State Police Command, represented by DSP Hassan Mansur, confirmed the attack and stated that a comprehensive report would be issued later.
