Tragic Road Accident in Kano State Claims Seven Lives and Injures 70

A tragic road accident in Kano State resulted in the death of seven individuals and injuries to 70 others. The accident, involving a DAF trailer, took place along Hadejia Road in Kwannar Danja.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) responded promptly to the crash, classifying it as a single-vehicle fatal accident caused by speed and loss of control. Victims were rushed to hospitals across the state, including Sir Sunusi Specialist Hospital, Gezawa General Hospital, Murtala Moham Specialist Hospital, and Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital in Nasarawa.

The FRSC emphasized the need for drivers to avoid risky practices and overloading to prevent such fatal accidents. The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, ordered free medical treatment for survivors and deployed a medical team to assist.

Various officials, including Auwalu Muhammad and Barau Jibrin, expressed condolences and called for adherence to traffic rules to prevent further tragedies.
