Access Bank Fuels STEM Education Growth in Africa

Access Bank has played a pivotal role in nurturing Africa's next generation of innovators through its six-year commitment to STEM education, exemplified by the STEM Africa Fest. Held at Landmark Event Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, the sixth edition attracted over 3,500 children who engaged in various STEM activities, including programming robots and experimenting with chemistry.

The festival has evolved from a local initiative to a continental platform, reaching children in Ghana, Rwanda, Kenya, Zambia, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia. Titi Adewusi, co-Convener of the event, emphasized Access Bank's significant role, stating they were the first to believe in the festival's potential when it was merely an idea.

The bank's support has been crucial in expanding the festival beyond Nigeria, encouraging organizers to think bigger and providing both financial backing and strategic guidance. Access Bank's partnership has transformed the festival into one of Africa's largest STEM education events, impacting nearly 30,000 young participants.
