STEM Africa Fest Expands STEM Education for Children

STEM Africa Fest is set to expand its initiative aimed at providing access to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education for underserved children in Nigeria. The sixth edition of the festival is scheduled for July 18, 2026, in Lagos, with plans for a broader rollout across various cities, including Ilorin.

Co-founder Titi Adewusi emphasized that at least 20 percent of participants will attend at no cost, with transportation and meals fully covered through partnerships. The festival, described as West Africa's largest experiential STEM festival, aims to create a practical learning environment for children to explore real-world applications of STEM concepts.

The event will feature interactive laboratories, robotics showcases, coding challenges, and workshops on artificial intelligence and engineering innovations. Since its inception in 2021, STEM Africa Fest has impacted 25,000 children, students, and parents across Nigeria, addressing the shortage of STEM professionals in Sub-Saharan Africa and enhancing engagement in STEM education.
