Bauchi APC Responds to Governor Bala Mohammed's Defection

The Bauchi State chapter of the APC is reacting to Governor Bala Mohammed's proposed defection from the PDP. During a caucus meeting held in Abuja, members expressed significant discord regarding the political implications of the governor's potential move.

The caucus unanimously agreed to raise a high-power committee, mandated to address the issue and report back to the state committee. Hon Dabo Ismail serves as the secretary of this committee.

The members voiced strong dissatisfaction, particularly from the chairman of the Bauchi APC caucus, Sama Ila Dahuwa, who criticized the lack of prior consultation with the party's national leadership on this matter, deeming it an unacceptable omission. The caucus warned against imposing decisions without engaging stakeholders at the state level, emphasizing the need for a smooth negotiation process to address the governor's potential defection.
