Media Mogul Dele Momodu Escapes Benin Republic Coup Attempt

Dele Momodu, the publisher of Ovat Magazine, disclosed how he and his entourage narrowly evaded a coup in Benin Republic orchestrated by a military committee seeking to remove President Patric Talon from office. The soldiers, known as the Military Committee to Refound the CMR State, met and decided to oust Talon, who has been in power for 10 years.

Momodu expressed surprise at the coup attempt but managed to escape with his entourage unharmed.
