Dino Melaye Shares How a Goat Funded His Education

Dino Melaye, a former Nigerian senator, revealed on the KAA Truths podcast on August 14, 2026, how a goat he purchased at age 12 helped him finance his education. He sold the goat's offspring to pay for his secondary school fees, WAEC, JAMB, and his first two years at Ahmadu Bello University.

Melaye's investment journey began at 18, where he invested in Eurobonds when the euro was trading at approximately N60, leaving the investment untouched and reinvesting dividends. He claimed to have invested in major global companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Uber, and Zoom, noting that Zoom's value surged during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additionally, Melaye has operated franchise businesses in the United States for over 20 years, expanding from one outlet to several. He stated that his financial stability is not solely due to his political career, asserting that his financial status has remained consistent since leaving public office in 2019.
