Kogi State University Overcomes Cultism and Insecurity, Implements Multi-Agency Security Measures

Professor Tenuch of Kogi State University addressed stakeholders, highlighting the institution's success in tackling cultism and insecurity since assuming office in April 2020. The university has implemented a multi-agency security framework involving the Nigeria Police, military, and local vigilante groups to control the situation.

Zero tolerance for cultism has been enforced, leading to a peaceful and stable campus environment with no gunshots recorded in 2020. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of community support and intelligence gathering to combat banditry and kidnapping, ensuring a safe environment for students both on campus and along the roads.
