Kogi State University Mandates 75% Class Attendance for Exam Eligibility

Kogi State University, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, has implemented a new policy making attendance mandatory for students. Students must attend at least 75% of classes to be allowed to sit for exams.

Professor Akinwumi announced this directive during the matriculation ceremony for the new intake of students. The university aims to curb exam misconduct and malpractice, warning of severe penalties for non-compliance.

With over 9,000 students successfully matriculated, the institution emphasizes merit and quality in academic pursuits. Professor Akinwumi also highlights the importance of maintaining decency, complying with the approved dress code, and reporting any suspicious activities promptly.
