Kylian Mbappé has made history by finishing in the top 10 of the Ballon d'Or rankings for the eighth consecutive year, a record unmatched by any active player who has not won the award. His journey began at just 18 years old when he finished seventh in 2017 with 48 points, helping AS Monaco win Ligue 1 and reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Over the years, he has consistently ranked among the best, finishing fourth in 2018, sixth in 2019, and achieving his best finish of third in 2022. In 2023, he finished seventh with 378 points, despite being the top scorer in La Liga.
