Eucharia Anunobi Reveals Medical Negligence Caused Son's Death

Eucharia Anunobi, a veteran Nollywood actress and gospel minister, shared the painful experience of losing her teenage son, Raymond Ekwu, due to medical negligence during a recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast. Anunobi recounted that her son was in critical condition when he was attended to by a student doctor who, instead of performing a necessary blood transfusion, allegedly removed blood from his body.

This action resulted in her son losing three pints of blood at a time when he was already struggling to survive. Anunobi expressed her shock and pain, stating that the student's actions worsened her son's already weak condition.

She also discussed the emotional and financial pressures she faced while trying to keep her son alive, including handling medical bills and the burden of supporting him alone during this difficult period. Raymond Ekwu battled complications linked to sickle cell disease before passing away in 2017.
