PRP Chairman Discusses Failed Collaboration with Obi, Kwankwaso

Baba Ahmed, the Chairman of the People's Redemption Party (PRP), spoke during a Hausa political program on DITV in Kaduna regarding the failed collaboration with Peter Obi and Kwankwaso. He asserted that the conditions proposed by both politicians contributed to the breakdown of negotiations.

Ahmed highlighted that the PRP does not practice political accords and insisted that Obi and Kwankwaso must formally join the PRP following established procedures to seek electoral positions. He acknowledged the political influence and support base of both politicians but emphasized that the party would not violate its constitution or internal democratic processes.

Additionally, he mentioned that the request from Obi and Kwankwaso included a significant number of party positions, which raised concerns about the party's status with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and internal disputes that contributed to the collapse of the collaboration.
