Strategic Partnerships Transform Nigeria's Civil Service

Strategic partnerships are transforming Nigeria's civil service, focusing on economic growth and improved service delivery. The second International Civil Service Conference (ICSC) held in Abuja emphasized the collaboration between public and private organizations.

Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, chairman of the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, noted that the civil service must evolve beyond superficial partnerships to achieve deeper integration with the private sector. This shift began with a groundbreaking partnership announced by the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) and the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, aimed at equipping public servants with necessary tools for national success.

The conference showcased a commitment to long-term reform, moving away from short-term support to a more structured approach in leadership development. The OHCSF's adoption of ISO 9001:2015 certification exemplifies a focus on consistent processes and quality execution, reflecting a commitment to enhancing civil service performance and accountability.
