Oyo State Opens Bursary Registration for 2025/2026

The Oyo State Government has officially commenced online registration for the 2025/2026 General Bursary Awards, aimed at eligible final-year students of Oyo State origin studying in public higher institutions across Nigeria. The Oyo State Scholarship Board announced that registration opened on October 14, 2026, and will close on November 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

West Africa time. Eligible applicants must be indigenes of Oyo State, enrolled in a Nigerian public tertiary institution, and not studying on a part-time basis or overseas.

Categories eligible for the bursary include university undergraduates, Higher National Diploma (HND) students, National Certificate in Education (NCE) students, and those in clinical, aviation, and maritime programmes, while final-year law students are excluded. Required documents for registration include an Admission Letter, Local Government Identification Letter, Students’ Registration/Course Form, valid bank account details, a recent passport photograph, and proof of membership of the Federation of Oyo State Student Union (FOSSU).

Late applications will not be accepted after the portal closes.
