Nigerian Troops Rescue Abducted Retired Colonel in Plateau State

Nigerian troops from the 3rd Division of the Nigerian Army rescued retired Colonel Joseph Ajanaku, who was abducted in Plateau State. The abduction occurred on January 5, with the kidnappers demanding a ransom of 200 million Naira.

Troops, in collaboration with the Defence Intelligence Agency and local vigilantes, conducted a successful rescue operation. Colonel Ajanaku is currently undergoing medical evaluation.

The military employed covert operations that eventually led to the successful rescue.
