Huawei Nigeria Hosts Event on Secure Digital Networks

On August 21, 2026, Huawei Nigeria organized the Huawei Nigeria IP&OpticX Club 2026 at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos State, themed ‘Secure Networks Powering Nigeria’s Digital Future.’ The event focused on the significance of secure, intelligent, and reliable networks in accelerating digital transformation across various sectors. Matamela Mashau, Chief Technology Officer of ICT Marketing & Solution Sales Department at Huawei Sub-Saharan Africa, discussed the evolution of networks into intelligent infrastructures.

Oteniya Olorunlani, Head of Network Administration & Support Unit at the Lagos State Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, emphasized the state government's commitment to public sector innovation aligned with the Lagos State Development Plan 2052. Taiwo Abigael from MTN Network Enterprise Service highlighted the partnership between MTN Nigeria and Huawei to enhance connectivity and network services for Nigerian enterprises.

The event concluded with remarks from Tulin, Director of the Enterprise Network Solution Department at Huawei Nigeria, reaffirming Huawei's commitment to supporting digital transformation in Nigeria.
