HumanCoop Partners with Identy.io for Biometric Healthcare

HumanCoop has selected Identy.io’s biometric solutions to enhance the living conditions of patients in Northern Mauritania and the broader North Africa region. The initiative aims to address the lack of identification documents affecting around 350,000 individuals in North Africa and the Middle East, which hinders the issuance of official documents and the creation of medical records necessary for effective treatment.

Identy.io will provide facial biometric identification verification technology that allows for unique patient identification, even in the absence of documentation. This will facilitate faster access to medical records and reduce the likelihood of duplicate registrations among undocumented patients.

The technology operates entirely offline, ensuring privacy and functionality in remote areas like the Sahara Desert. As part of the agreement, Identy.io will grant HumanCoop access to its biometric solutions in the field, enabling the organization to create medical history records and monitor treatment progress for chronic conditions among undocumented patients.
