John Okoduwa GCFR, the husband of the late Purity Omonye Otaifoh Okoduwa, issued a formal clarification regarding the circumstances of her death, which occurred on September 18, 2026. Following her passing, numerous conflicting narratives circulated on social media, suggesting various causes such as complications during childbirth, cardiac arrest, and stress-related issues.

In a statement published on the MRS GCFR page, Okoduwa described these rumors as entirely untrue. He acknowledged the family's inability to definitively state the cause of her death, despite her being laid to rest.
