Borno Lawmaker Audu Mustapha Addresses Viral Cry Video

Hon. Audu Mustapha, a member of the Borno State House of Assembly representing Magumeri LGA, addressed a viral video in which he was seen crying, stating that he did not beg for re-election. In a press statement signed on his behalf by media consultant Babakura Bukar Mustapha, he explained that his emotional display was a reaction to the support shown by his constituents, particularly the 100 vulnerable individuals who contributed money to help him purchase a nomination form.

Mustapha emphasized that he was not disappointed with the All Progressives Congress (APC) for not selecting him as a candidate, as the primary process was still ongoing. He urged the public to disregard claims circulating on social media that misrepresented his situation and stressed the importance of relying on verified information.
