She stated that the first call she received that morning was from Akindele, which took her by surprise as she had not anticipated such help. Ogundimu wrote about the significant amount of money she received, thanking Akindele and asking her followers to pray for her.

This financial assistance came shortly after Ogundimu revealed her battle with cervical cancer, which she was diagnosed with in 2024 following several medical tests. She described the diagnosis as devastating and has been coping with both the physical and emotional challenges of the illness.
