Bunmi Nelson Regrets Underestimating Funke Akindele's Success

During an interview on the ‘Talk to B’ podcast with Biola Adebayo, Nigerian actress Bunmi Nelson expressed her regret for underestimating Funke Akindele's potential for success. Nelson recounted that in 2006, when Akindele sought her assistance, she did not realize the extent of Akindele's future achievements.

She stated, “If I knew Funke would go far like this, I would have held her tight,” reflecting on how she missed opportunities to support Akindele when the industry was less competitive. Nelson mentioned that Akindele had approached her for a location to shoot, which she initially overlooked.

She advised against underestimating anyone, emphasizing that life has taught her the value of humility. Nelson acknowledged that she has become more humble over time, recognizing that nothing is constant in life.
