Oyo Speaker Denies APC Bribery Claims Against Makinde

On Tuesday, Adebo Ogundoyin, the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, refuted allegations that he received money from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to facilitate the impeachment of Governor Seyi Makinde. He described these claims as false and politically motivated, asserting that no financial transactions took place.

Ogundoyin emphasized his commitment to uphold the integrity of the House and stated that he would not compromise his loyalty to the governor or the people who elected him. He firmly rejected any notion of monetary inducement aimed at destabilizing the state government or legislature.

Additionally, Ogundoyin clarified that his recent visit to Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, was purely for consultation and took place a week prior to the allegations. He reiterated the assembly's commitment to constitutional order and good governance in the interest of the people.
