Ruth Kadiri Reveals Why She Kept Her Marriage Secret

Nollywood actress and producer Ruth Kadiri disclosed her reasons for maintaining privacy regarding her marriage during an episode of the Dear Ife podcast. Kadiri expressed that she had a phobia of marriage and was uncertain about the success of her union, prompting her to keep it private.

Her husband, Mr Ezerika, supported her decision, and they opted for a small wedding with only 50 guests—25 invited by each of them. Kadiri stated, “I had a phobia of marriage.

I was battling with the fear of the unknown and asking myself, ‘Am I going to make this decision and everything will now scatter?’” The couple married in a private ceremony around November 2018. They welcomed their first daughter in August 2019 and their second daughter in July 2022.
