Bwala Requests Al Jazeera to Release Full Interview Video

Bwala, a presidential aide, has responded to the backlash following a controversial interview he gave to Al Jazeera, which was conducted on February 11, 2026. The interview was intended to last one hour and twenty minutes; however, when Al Jazeera uploaded the interview on March 5, it was edited down to 49 minutes.

Bwala claims that nearly 20 minutes of content was omitted, which he believes misrepresents the original discussion. He stated that Al Jazeera had initially promised to air the full interview on television and upload it online.

In light of the edits, Bwala has requested that Al Jazeera publish the complete video to provide proper context for the conversation, which has drawn criticism from various Nigerians who feel he has embarrassed the nation.
