Ekiti Ex-Speaker Resigns from APC Citing Well-being Concerns

Olugbeyega Aribisogan, former Speaker of the Ekiti State House Assembly, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) citing the need to prioritize his well-being. In his resignation letter dated July 31, 2025, addressed to the chairman of APC Ward 7 in Ijesa Ikole LGA, Aribisogan mentioned personal reasons and an ongoing research project as the basis for his decision.

Despite acknowledging the opportunities and support he received within the party, he expressed that he could no longer remain in the APC without compromising his principles. Aribisogan, who was impeached as speaker in 2022, did not disclose his next political move.
